Tarte for True Blood: Eye See Vamps Everywhere Going Crazy for This Palette - Makeup and Beauty Blog

Well polish my coffin and pour me some other cup of that Truthful Claret, Team Tarte, because I'd like to raise my glass! Y'all obviously sunk your teeth into the new express edition True Claret Palette ($52). I'd stake my life on that.

But seriously, the endeavour Tarte put into developing this palette shows in the clever trivial details, similar the words "Open After Night" scrawled across the cubby that conceals the mini primer, mascara and eyeliner, and the lace threading through the grommets on the encompass (er, those better non be silvery!).

A little drawer for a set of fake fangs would've been the icing on the cake. After all, undead wannabes wear makeup, too, merely I guess y'all tin can't appease all of the fangbangers all of the time… But yous can appease some of them some of the fourth dimension, specially when you lot suit the shadows in a palette in a logical way.

You know how brands volition sometimes haphazardly place unrelated shades beside each other in a palette? That'due south i of my middle palette pet peeves, simply I like how this palette groups smokey shadows in the lower right hand corner, warmer jewel tones in the lower left and the neutrals at the top. It's conducive to creativity (at least I think so) and makes it like shooting fish in a barrel to sift through the 17 shades.

Baby vamps probably wouldn't realize this even so, but later a few hundred years, the nights begin to blur together. The way these shadows seamlessly blend together reminds me of that attribute of everlasting undead life. Information technology takes barely a few flicks from an eyeshadow castor to transition from ane shade to the next, even when I'k wearing several colors on my lids.

And, dude, I don't intendance how easy Vampire Bill makes glamoring humans look, information technology can have up a huge clamper of my night. Because these shadows stay put from dusk till dawn without fading or creasing at all, they free up my human hunting fourth dimension.

Every bit for the other three pieces in the set, I like the eyeshadow primer and mascara, merely my eyes tear up when I wear the liner along my water line (sorry, Lafayette).

Seasoned eyeshadow junkies with big collections may already have many of these shades. For that reason, it may be more attractive to makeup newbies and truthful-bluish Truthful Blood fans. Once they realize what a great value it is, they'll be ascension from the ground quicker than yous can say, "AB negative, please." 🙂
